Position Summary: EMP Labels is seeking a dedicated Print Machine Operator Assistant to join our production team in Fishers, IN. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior printing or machine operation experience who are eager to learn and grow within the printing industry. You’ll support the production of high-quality labels for diverse industries in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the operation, setup, and maintenance of various printing presses.
Handle materials and components safely and efficiently, including lifting 15-50 lbs. as needed.
Inspect printed products for quality and ensure they meet customer specifications.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and meet deadlines.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on printing equipment.
Accurately record job details and progress using production software in a paperless environment.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
2–5 years of experience as a machine operator, preferably in a printing environment.
Familiarity with basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler.
Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills to address technical issues effectively.
Detail-oriented with the ability to detect and correct print quality issues, including color accuracy.
Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a small team environment.
Demonstrated commitment to punctuality, safety, and consistent attendance.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new printing technologies and practices.
Schedule:
10-hour shifts
Overtime available, as needed
