Mobility is the name of the game in Warehouse Automation. Mobile data terminals for real time receiving, put-away, pick, ship and inventory tasks. Wearable terminals can greatly improve your operator efficiencies in high flow areas that demand the use of both hands. In these cases, repeatedly picking up and putting down data terminals is not an options. Also voice picking can be used to increase efficiencies in picking operations where operators are building pallets of mixed products and need the use of both hands. Or better yet, how about both.

How many hours a day are your operators spending walking back and forth to the label printer? How many errors are occurring because the wrong label is being put on your product? How much is this costing you? Mobile printers are the answer. Put the printer on the operator for a one to one, efficient labeling operation in your facility.

One of the most exciting technologies to come around in the last few years has been RFID. RFID allows you to put product specific information in your bar code label and to have this data read in an un-attended way. RFID can greatly increase efficiencies, but is far more complicated than bar code scanning and requires someone with experience and expertise in the technology. EMP's Tech Group is that expert. From simple compliance labeling to meet your customers mandate to a full product tracking system utilizing RFID.
